Implosive Disorder

The pressure it’s building

The distance is growing

The gaps in knowledge increase

Through the transfer of the deceased

A language unknown to my ears

Brings with it the bowels of fear

How many years will it take

To move on from my biggest mistake

The smoke that fills the air

Seeps into the skin and hair

Blood incessantly flowing

Through rivers and seas not worth rowing

A violin plays in the background

Telling us it’s time to come home

For the world is submerged

And we might just drown

The time ticks towards tracks

That tie tricks taught to thoughts

Something stirs silently singing

Sinful stories sorrowfully sinking

Alliteration acts against all aspects

Aggressively anchoring abhorrent angels

There’s a clicking in the background

Accompanied by a jingle of keys

Screaming through the night

Into the folds of your brain

Eating the blood from your soul

Until you’re left dying on the floor
