In the Corner of My Room

There’s a man in the corner of the room

Watching my every move

Seeing my every thought

Even in the pitch black

His shadow looms over my soul

Breathing harsh melodies of pain

Into every dream

I stir from my sleep and see him staring back at me

Eyes burning from the bowels of hell

Countless souls screaming in terror through the night

Bringing with them a cold and bitter wind

That chills the fire and leaves me empty

His shadow grows with each day

Stretching out like the tentacles of a demon

Lurching ever forward with malintent

It seeks only to consume

To dig its frozen nails into what’s left of my mind

Words cannot escape me like they used to

My legs seize up more and more

The darkness begins to take over my body

Paralysis takes over my existence

The man is still in the corner

But his shadow stands over me

Coating my brain in castrophany

Swallowing the color of life whole

The man’s prey is stiff and cold

Unable to breathe

Unable to be

Simply, Unable
